Haben by Haben Girma 📚

I’m so glad I decided to give this book another go. The first time I tried getting into it was with the audiobook. I find that I typically don’t enjoy audiobooks of the authors reading it themselves unless they have a background in acting. Haben is an excellent storyteller. I truly felt like I was put in her shoes and experiencing life the way she did. I loved how she described the sounds and smells of her familiar and new environments she encountered throughout her life. I also enjoyed seeing her accomplishments in changing laws and becoming an advocate for disabled people like herself.
